Great little cosy pub attached to The Grand Hotel. Decent prices on the drinks for the location and service with a smile. Can't go wrong. Mix of areas suiting for all styles of evening with a big TV one end and some cosy, quiet corners. Good mix of locals and regulars. Very much enjoyed it.
It was lovely to see wine glasses sparkling with no water marks, finger prints or lipstick. Well done I would definitely return, the lady behind bar was lovely I believe she polished the glasses.
Fabulous food from the attached hotel (Grand Hotel, Tynemouth. Up to four real ales.
Lovely Sunday dinner, reasonably priced. Beautiful dessert.
This is a bit of a hidden gem of tynemouth for food, drink and location. The food is incredible and mirrors the menu available within the grand, Brilliant line up on the bar and service is spot on. We’ve been in for roast dinners (served every day!!) a few times now and always delicious and consistent. We visited today with the dogs after a long walk along the beach. Much nicer and fairly priced compared to some nearby places.
Lovely local feel pub at the back of the Grand Hotel. Delicious looking specials board today and a good collection of local ales. Had a beer from Cullercoats Brewery today and Guineas flavoured crisps! Good simple menu, though would say a little pricey for what they are. Lovely views from the hotel, however the pub is at the back of the building and so the views are only there when you step outside. Disabled access and baby changing facilities! Thanks for a good afternoon drink! Had the football on the television as well!
A fantastic, traditional pub of the sort that is rapidly dying out. Friendly bar staff, traditional bar with foot rest, coat hooks and barstools, no TV, great beer, many locals propping up the bar, and filling the tables. Bring back the culture of social, friendly drinking.
Love to walk along the coast into Tynemouth for food and a few beers at Copperfields. Always a good selection of cask and keg on the bar. Best of all there is a permanent Twobytwo cask line on which rotates though there great unfined and unfiltered beers. Food is excellent and the bar staff supply a great friendly service.
